Ford GT40 - The Ford GT40 was a notable sports car and winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans four times in a row, from 1966 to 1969. It was built to win long-distance sports car races against Ferrari (who won at Le Mans six times in a row 1960–1965).
Ford Cougar - The Ford Cougar was Ford's attempt to introduce a European sports coupe in the same vein as the famous Capri. The car was named after its famous American muscle car ancestor, the Mercury Cougar.
Ford SHO V6 engine - Ford Motor Company worked with Yamaha Motor Corporation to develop a compact 60° DOHC V6 engine for transverse application. This V6 was to power a mid-engine sports car in the early 1990s, but that project (known internally as GN34) was cancelled.
Ford VH platform - The VH Platform (for vertical/horizontal platform) is Aston Martin's new sports car automobile platform. It is used in the Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage, and is slated to support the next-generation Vanquish.
